Timing
The light in September and October is at its most beautiful toward the end of the day, creating the soft, warm glow that’s perfect for family photos. If possible, schedule your session between 3:30 PM and 5:00 PM. Morning sessions are also a lovely option, especially between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM, when the light is fresh and flattering.

Full Family Photo Session
A photo session for families who want to capture not only beautiful family portraits but also the unique story of their family.
If you like to look back at photos that show connection, interaction and the dynamic of your family then let’s take some time to capture a memorable photo collection.
While we will take some portrait photos, a full family photo session is primarily focussed on Lifestyle and candid photos rather than classic family portraits.

Full Photo Sessions are available 7 days a week at any location in Chicago.

Mini Family Photo Session
Photo session for families who are looking for 10 beautiful family photo updates and your to-go-for photo for the Holiday cards.
A Mini Session is designed to create beautiful family portraits in a shorter time frame. These sessions focus primarily on portrait-style images rather than candid, lifestyle photos. I’ll gently guide you through the session while always aiming to capture the genuine connection between you and your family. Although the focus is on portraits, I avoid stiff or overly posed images, creating photos that feel both natural and timeless.

Mini Photo Sessions are only available on Saturdays or weekday mornings
at limited locations:

1. Lincoln Park Zoo | Bridge over the South Pond

Lincoln Park Zoo | Bridge over the South Pond never goes out of style! With the combination of the city skyline and beautiful nature it’s a perfect location for your Fall Family Photo Session in Chicago.

Bonus location tip: The rear entrance of Lincoln Park Zoo, near the parking lot, is a hidden gem for fall photos. From mid-October through mid-November, you’ll find beautiful fall foliage that makes a stunning backdrop for your session.

2. Lincoln Park Conservatory | Outdoor Gardens

The outdoor gardens of the Lincoln Park Conservatory offer the perfect setting for nature-inspired fall photos. While a photo permit is required for the beautiful indoor gardens, we’re free to stroll, explore, and play outdoors. The gardens are still filled with gorgeous blooms in September, while October brings the subtle beauty of fall foliage, changing colors, and seasonal textures.

3. At the 606 Bucktown/Wickerpark

The 606 is a perfect spot for Bucktown and Wickerpark family’s. It’s walking distance from home and it offers a great variety of nature and urban backdrops.

4. North Avenue Beach

North Avenue Beach isn’t just a summer destination. The iconic Chicago skyline is beautiful in every season, and you can even spot vibrant fall foliage along the lakefront. This makes it a perfect location for your family Fall photo session.

5. Downtown Chicago

A totally different location for your fall family photo session is downtown Chicago. The vibrant city with its impressive high rises, steel bridges and beautiful river is the perfect backdrop for a city vibed family photo session.

Weekdays or early mornings on weekends are highly recommended for a downtown photo session.
